The Other J Pie!

Hmm, I personally think the presentation of my J pie was much better than this other J pie. What do you think?

for good cause

Thus far, I have collected RM125. The contributions made by these honourable people are deeply appreciated. Though, we (the Bank as a whole) are far from meeting our target of RM125,000. Individually, we aim to get at least RM400 and as you can see, I'm only 30% from meeting my target! To those generous ones, I'd be really happy if you could add on to my collection and it would be my pleasure to come and collect the donation from you. Thanks for your attention and kindness! :D

i love pie

I baked chicken pie on Sunday after much time spent preparing the ingredients. Truthfully, this is not my first time making it but I thought I should start off this cooking frenzy with something familiar and would definitely taste good.

Since I only managed to get the thin individual ready-sliced puff pastries, I had to place the pie into small separate tin foils (look at the picture below). Don't call me stingy because I would love to make a bigger pie, if only the puff pastry could cover the bigger pyrex we have at home. Plus, it would save so much of my time if I could make one big chicken pie!

Aaah, I was really into baking/cooking so I personalised the pies a wee bit. Each of the pie had our initials on it so no one would argue which pies they should take. We were also a little bit too generous with the egg yolks on the pastries. As a result, my pies were really so golden!

Voila! The final product. My chicken pie served with my mom's salad. And yes it was edible and stomach-ache-free!!! :)

fun time with nature

Actually I wanted to upload these pictures on FB but since FB is being such a pain in the bottom, I thought I should take this opportunity to spice up my blog site. Heh.

Not too long ago, some of my good friends and I went to appreciate nature at the forest reserve. Although we started rather late in the morning (more like at about noon), the weather was very pleasant as the big trees shielded us from the hot sun and the air from the waterfall was so cooling.
Once we found the perfect spot to sit, our stomaches were already growling hecticly. So we fixed some egg and tuna sandwiches to partially satisfy our empty bellies. Later after that, we had roti canai and some chicken salad made from random ingredients but tasted wonderfully yummy. There were watermelon and pears for desserts.
A rather small but entertaining crowd. We discussed almost about everything - from delicious food to wedding rings. What a combination!

There was an ice cream man standing at the bottom of the hill and we had been eyeing on that man since we arrived at the forest reserve. After much convincing done by us to a particular girl buddy, we managed to get a cone of ice cream each and that just perfected our day! Yes, we admit we did bully her but deep down our hearts we do love her and she knows that.

This outing deserves a five star recognition from me! :) And by the way, the photos are already up on FB!!!!!!!! Woot!!

still alive and kicking

Hmm, I have been very quiet lately. Ever since I started working on my resolution number 1 (part of) and 4, there isn't any time to spare on my computer at home. Though, I have a feeling that I'd be writing a lot more in the upcoming weeks. Til then!
